Olive oil has been part of our family’s story since before we were born, and now we feel so grateful to share it with you. Our father hails from the mountainous region of Petrina, Laconia, where he learned to grow olives like the generations before him — for the love of it. From an early age, he had a deep understanding of Greek tradition and the no-nonsense approach to everyday life.

After immigrating to Brooklyn, New York in the early 1950s, he never forgot where he came from. Rooted in humility and hard work, he built a strong life for our family as a proud American while nurturing our Greek traditions. Over twenty years passed before he was able to return to Greece, where he reconnected with his love of nature and his family’s beloved olive trees. It became his passion project; he made it a priority to spend every olive season with our mother in the hills of Laconia cultivating our family grove.
My four sisters, our mother and I have continued the tradition of making small batches of olive oil, and now, like dad, I travel back to Greece every year for the harvest. We feel so fortunate to carry on his legacy and to share our mr. pete’s olive oil with you. Working on this project is the most rewarding part of any day and we whole-heartedly hope you enjoy.
